Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This morning the school carried out a fire evacuation due to an electrical fire in the main toilet block. The fire was self contained and slow burning. It was quickly extinguished.
The staff activated our emergency evacuation procedures and all students were assembled quickly onto the front astroturf. The fire emergency response team were on site within a few minutes and shortly afterward we were given the all clear by the fire team.
This letter is to advise you of the incident and to assure you that with the appropriate fire drill practices we were able to ensure that all staff members, visitors and students remain safe from harm.
